  • Opening Circle: Create a sense of connection and begin the evening with purpose.

  • Intention Setting: Reflect on your intentions with guided journal prompts.

  • Embodied Movement: Activate your intentions through movement. You will initially be guided through a series of somatic practices to help ground you into your body, before being given the space to move freely and expressively to celebrate your new beginnings.

  • Closing Circle: End the evening in unity, with a final opportunity to reflect and connect.

Why Join this New Moon Ceremony?

For centuries, people across cultures have used the New Moon as a time to pause, reflect, and set intentions for the future. The moon’s cycles mirror the natural rhythms of life, reminding us that every ending is also a beginning.

Dance and ceremony amplify this energy by engaging both mind and body. Movement allows you to express emotions, release old patterns, and embrace change in a dynamic and transformative way. Together, in the shared space of a circle, we create a powerful space for growth and connection.

Common Fears

It’s natural to feel a mix of curiosity and apprehension when attending a ceremony like this, especially if it’s your first time. Many people experience moments of self-doubt or fear around stepping into unfamiliar territory.

You might worry about speaking in a circle, dancing without the usual social crutches of drugs or alcohol, or participating in rituals that feel uncommon in Western culture. These feelings are normal. In this space, there’s no pressure to perform, share, or engage in any way that doesn’t feel right for you. Whether you sit quietly, move freely, or simply observe, you’ll be supported in a non-judgmental and inclusive environment designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Your Host: Claudia Silas

Claudia Silas is a dancer, massage therapist, and yoga teacher with over a decade of experience holding space for others. She has spent these years supporting individuals and communities on their journeys toward health, movement, and embodiment.

Claudia’s connection to movement and health practices began in her teenage years after training professionally as a dancer, and found them as a way to nurture her physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Inspired by the rhythms of the natural world, Claudia finds direction and purpose in aligning with the elements and cycles of nature. Her work is rooted in the belief that intentionality, community and ritual can be powerful forces for transformation.
