The Art of Stillness
30th August – 2nd September 2019
Return with us to the utopian location of The Healthy Home, as we bring you a long summer weekend dedicated to the Art of Stillness. Learn how to truly grasp being in the moment and discover your inner sanctuary, all in the relaxing atmosphere of serene scenery and supported by strengthening cuisine.
Located in the mesmerising southern gateway of the Yorkshire Dales, The Healthy Home is just minutes away from the historic market town of Skipton (voted as the best place in Britain to live by The Sunday Times). Surrounded by an abundance of luscious landscape and breathtaking scenery, its romanticism and preservation of historic England makes The Healthy Home a true natural beauty awaiting to be discovered.
We live in a world where we are constantly on the go, burdened with the pressures of work and overstimulated by screens and gadgets. Finding an opportunity for stillness in the midst of this chaos can be a challenge, and if we do, anxious thoughts or boredom may arise whilst we itch to get back to our daily tasks. This can, unfortunately, drive many of us to avoid the alone time and peace that we all need.
On this retreat, you will get the break you deserve from your busy life and walk away with various tools and techniques to help you embrace stillness. Your learning over this weekend will encompass mindfulness meditation techniques and how to calmly sustain long yoga poses.
